Cameron Smith will pay out $1600 for every $100 bet should he go on to win the 2022 RBC Heritage. Smith currently sat atop the leaderboard heading into Friday.
Smith is an Australian golfer who has won five times on the PGA Tour, including the 2022 Players Championship. He was also runner-up in the 2020 Masters Tournament.
Back in January, Smith won the Sentry Tournament of Champions at Kapalua Resort on Maui, Hawaii. He shot a PGA Tour record of 34 under par winning by one stroke over world number one Jon Rahm.
Smith had a shot at winning this past week's Masters as well. On Masters Sunday, Smith started out in the final group three shots down to Scottie Scheffler, but ultimately finished shooting 73 to finish T-3.
"I don't think I was down in the dumps," he said. "I was just frustrated. I feel as though I was one really good swing away from really contending and that's just how golf is, especially around that golf course. I feel as though sometimes you can even hit really good golf shots and end up making bogeys and doubles around there. … I'm happy with how I guess handled the situation after."
